What is an Exercise Physiologist?

An Exercise Physiologist is an allied health professional (University qualified) who uses exercise to help manage, treat and prevent a wide range of chronic conditions, injuries and disabilities. We use fitness and strength testing, various exercise techniques and education to help you manage your health and ensure that your exercise is safe and effective. 

Some of the chronic conditions, injuries and disabilities that an Exercise Physiologist can treat include:

Services

Exercise Physiology sessions are claimable through Medicare, Private Health Care, NDIS, and RTWSA.

NDIS (self-managed and plan-managed)

 

Exercise Physiologists can help improve the wellbeing and independence of people with NDIS funding.

 

Exercise Physiology services can be accessed with funding in the Capacity Building Category and the Health & Wellbeing Outcome domain. We only provide services for clients under self-managed or plan-managed NDIS funding. 

Strength For Life

Strength For Life

Strength For Life is an individualised strength and balance exercise program designed to help people aged 50+ to get fit, stay strong and improve their balance. The program is delivered by a specially trained exercise physiologist who will develop a tailored exercise plan, just for you! You can then work towards your goals with like-minded people in a fun and friendly group setting, with support and encouragement to become stronger and fitter. Staying fit and active will improve your balance, cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength, wellbeing and help manage chronic conditions. You may be able to claim a rebate from Medicare or private health fund. Contact your GP or private health insurance provider before you enroll.  

 

- $65 Initial assessment 

- $10 per class (Free for Anytime Fitness Brighton Members)

Strength for Life Class Timetable:

- Monday: 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM

- Wednesday: 11 AM - 12 PM

- Thursday: 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM

- Friday: 11 AM - 12 PM
